In response to changing demographics in their subscription base, Music Choice was driven to renew their focus on kid-safe and family-friendly programming. I was tasked with creating a cohesive identity and graphics package for a new sub-brand named Music Choice Family.
One of the criterion of this project was that it needed to incorporate the parent brand’s existing logo, and utilize a similar format to other nascent Music Choice subscription services: Music Choice PLUS, Music Choice Karaoke and Music Choice Relax. In order to differentiate it from these products, I created a custom type treatment for the word ‘Family.’
Music Choice Family called for a more colorful and youthful expression of the parent brand. Using the existing two main colors as a starting point, I devised a color palette and visual system that I then used to re-skin the product interfaces. I chose Graphik Bold and Medium as friendly and more easily readable font choices for the brand’s intended audience.
